Brake test. Low Rail machine, tires driving against rail.
Machine may be lifted up on the railwheels and freewheeling over obstacles.
The driver activates regular controls for front and rear rail assembly and lifts the machine 100 mm.
During transport when the machine is freewheeling on railwheels the machine’s brake pedal, when needed, is used to engage the brakes of the front railwheels.
When the obstacle is passed the driver stops the machine, lowers the machine until the control system indicates correct position and level on railwheels.
Rear railwheels are equipped with parking brakes and are activated at the same time as the ordinary parking brake of the wheel loader.
Parking brakes are released with a spring applied hydraulic cylinder.
Control of the railwheel assemblies is performed with separate hydraulic and two electric joysticks located in connection with other controls in the cab.
